... ride in bright sunshine.
The train took us back to the lakeside at Cully where we boarded an historic paddle steamer to journey back to Lausanne. By now it was absolutely hammering it down and the scenery was virtually impossible to see. Another great shame because the boat itself was delightful and we very much enjoyed the trip.
Had about 45 minutes in the hotel when we got back. Just enough time to get a hot shower and change. Then up ...

... plate was historic Absolutely epic and served with a wonderful hot gingery fruit bread. We literally staggered out under the weight of food we'd consumed. I guess we drank quite a bit of wine too but it didn't stand a chance against the food. Taxi back to the hotel for about 1130. Another full day tomorrow. A wonderful day rounded off by some amazing news from Daisy which must wait till Monday to be confirmed but ......... GREAT ...

... it took us some time to figure out the correct bus. But we were able to find it and also managed to catch the bus in time. So happy we all were!! Finally after a long day, we were able to sit and relax and were waiting for the bus to depart to the airport. After travelling for about one and half hour, we reached the Paris De Gaulle airport.

It was late by the time we reached the airport and all the shops, restaurants and bakeries inside ...

Yvette worked with my father for many years and became a close family friend. She surprised me by inviting two other longtime family friends, Judith and John, as well as my sister's best friend from Switzerland, Sandra. ... uns der Vater von Manuela gefragt hat ob wir Licht bei uns haben. Da wir beide beim packen unserer Ausrüstung nicht daran gedacht haben, dass es am Abend ja dunkel ist und eine Taschenlampe sehr hilfreich sein könnte hatten wir natürlich keine eingepackt. Zum Glück hatte ihr Vater noch eine Taschenlampe die er uns ausleihen konnte.

So fuhren wir Manuela, Muxia (der Hund von Manuela) und ich Richtung Bunderspitz los. Den richtigen Weg zu finden stellte ...
