... perfection (except for its out of place casino). The 2km promenade along the shore is a must with blooming gardens, sculptures and sights to see everywhere. Strongly recommend! A quick stop at the hotel where Barbara's art is exhibited then we headed back through town window shopping, mostly closed as it was 7pm after a long day. All we could manage was fried rice with shrimp from the Thai restaurant around the corner from us and an early night. Phew! This was definitely a day trip to ...

Our day trip to Gruyere gave us our country side and small rural village experience in Switzerland. Leonie and Heather taken the boat from Montreux to Le Bouveret, the rest of us retuned home by ...

trees, cows, lakes and sunshine. Apparently the coldest place in Switzerland
with temperatures of -41 degrees having been measured.

Braai lit, chicken cooking, a glass of red wine……..everything
else can be brought on Visa, but not this.

Just a short update...mostly because I like seeing our travel route updated on the little map that accompanies this blog...the red line makes me feel like Indiana Jones. :) After Munich we headed to Berne to stay at Tash and Glen's place for a week. Our first full day we roamed the streets of downtown Berne and saw all the Christmas decorations around town. Of course that is the day we forgot our camera so you'll just have to take my ...
