Nice, clean, and very centrally located. Beds are very hard but otherwise it was in a great spot with clean utilities. Lots of stairs for people who may find that difficult.

Great, clean rooms in the central historical area. Free computer and internet use, good laundry service, helpful staff, free breakfasts.
Not a lot of character but a nice place to stay in the city. Would definitely stay here again. Also close to metro station and many restaurants/bars.

Day 1: the bus ride was 6 hours from Oaxaca and it went by pretty fast. The driver only stopped twice on this journey. We arrive around 4.15pm in the TAPO bus station and decide to follow the hostel's directions using the subway.

It was fairly easy since the bus terminal is connected to the subway. We pay 10 pesos for our 2 tickets and get …

After 5 long hours in the air we touched down in Mehico!!

Walking down the steps of the plane Kathy proclaimed "girls we have had our bad luck now....onwards and upwards" to which Jen responded "we haven't got our bags yet!"........oh how correct she was!! Yes, her bag did not arrive from Newark.... …

    Day 3 in Mexico City

A travel blog entry by fletcher87 on Mar 07, 2014

On our last full day in Mexico city we managed to see quite a bit, even after sleeping in till 11am. This jet lag seems rather diffiult to get past. After finally getting up we caught a taxi to Coyoacan and went to the Diego Riviera museum and the Frida Kahlo "blue house" museum. The Diego museum was pretty amazing, he built it from Magma rocks …

Arrived yesterday and have enjoyed the city. I'm blown away by its size. People everywhere. But with a population of 3 million more the population of Australia it has to be big. The people seem very religious and arriving on Ash Wednesday it made it seem even more so. There are several enormous cathedrals and the museums are very ornate and …

It's funny how little we're really able to see when caught up in the thrill of new; the excitement of novelty. I doubt that anyone is truly immune to it's swooning effects but that may just be me trying to feel less naive.

Over the course of this past month, I've spent a lot of time getting to know my coworkers at various settings. I …
