14 avenue de Suede Nice, French Riviera - Cote d'Azur, Provence, France, 06000
ok, it was more "collecting a new country" than being really interested in Monaco. Strange, when you go there from Nice airport by bus it costs you 18 € one way, when you go from Nice bus terminal it costs 1 € one way. Monaco is a very clean city. I have never seen so many big and expensive cars. I saw the casino and the castle. Nice, but not spectacular.
Monaco, Monaco tilman... have an amazing view from Colline du Chateau. On saturday (November 28) we had sunshine and 19 degrees (end of November) and I was even swimming in the sea (15 gegrees), on sunday, November 29 we had rain and thunderstorms so that caused a delay of the plane of three hours. Best breakfast in town you find in "Les pains a tables" close to the market. Nice is a city IŽd love to visit once a year minimum.....
Nice, Provence, France tilman... gesture. We can't change the world but we can change the way these children start off in life and who knows where that will lead....
It is less than 4 weeks now until I leave. There is much to do. I am trying to prepare myself for "teaching" 20 - 25 children. A bit of a challenge that. Much as I have known that I have always wanted to do something like this, now that it ...
... peculator brewing, and more often than not scrambled eggs. Lunch is usually a baguette stuffed with loads of fresh salad, stinky cheese (the smellier the better!!) and Parma ham. Our dinner staples are Spaghetti Bolognaise, Pork Fajitas, Hamburgers with the LOT, Cous Cous ala Gill with chicken and of course no meal starts without the obligatory Ham cheese and olive tapas and a bottle of wine. The other stuff We need to make up our bed every evening as it is made out of ...
Les Arcs sur Argens, Provence, France darrenhough74... other spots in Europe, here we didn't need to wear our polar fleeces...) we decided to extend our stay to include the weekend and spoilt ourselves with a stay in a 4 star hotel right near the beach! Its our first splash out since we started and would you believe it was almost in budget!!! Guess the off-season thing really applies here. Its a bit sad that we haven't come here in summer as its a bit chilly still, particularly when the sea breeze comes up. We've been very jealous of the 30 ...
Nice, Provence, France dan-and-dee... their trip, especially Kelly. After everyone made their greetings, Yolanda, the Chief Stewardess, gave the guests their key cards, had them sign the guest book and then showed them to their rooms. Stee and I tagged along to give them a tour of the yacht. Jessica was particularly excited about the Day Spa treatments and Clay was excited about the water toys. After the tour, Clay and Jessica went to freshen up in their room and Kelly and I found a spot ...

Nice, Provence, France sromanuck... a lovely breakfast stop, it was gloriously sunny, albeit a bit chilly, 5° C. A surreal moment happened at breakfast as two stereotypes collide, I'm sitting there being all English, wrapped up against the elements brewing tea and around the corner come a bunch of French cyclists in their brightly coloured lycra being incredibly French and very civilised it was with jolly bonjours and happy waves from all parties. I really enjoyed my drive this morning ...
Nice, France laineebee... bay, Torze didn.t actually flinch because of the boy who cried wolf, needless to say holly scraped her body )at least the burn disappeared) and broje her coconut bracelet...sad times :(! 16-08-2008 Today we poshed it up and went to Monaco, good times...missed the changing of the guard becuse of torze's dodgy orienteering, but saw the crowds so halfway there really. Then we went down to the port for lunch and wine...then looked at the boats...dear christ ...
Nice, Provence, France ha_cottrell... talk to Elni in the corridor. So if you plan on taking a night train in Spain, please don't think it's going to be like that Southern Comfort ad where the backpackers all clink to Barcelona - unless you also imagine that being like the beginning of the Blair Witch Project, just before everything goes to ****. But at least we made it into France, and that has been just too charming. Elni assured me that the French would be rude and disdainful ...
