... On the bridge, looking back towards the church and Buda Castle, the light was soft and warm. We've enjoyed our brief time (too brief) in Budapest. It's a city which still retains the charms of its history, despite the attempts to subjugate it through invasion, destruction, and domination. Influences of the many threads of its history can be seen throughout the city. But, overall, it remains indomitably Hungarian.

... some apple crumble and espresso. Walking in to the café, we were escorted to a beautiful garden and sat leisurely among the lush shrubbery. The café was quaint, dainty and had the shabby-chic design appeal. If you close your eyes - envision a garden with bench-like chairs, metal woven tables and wooden hanging decorations and lanterns; this image describes the café perfectly.
