This place is handy to Southern Cross station. If you're too lazy to walk then just take the 75 tram from out the front of the hostel. It will drop you off near the supermarket Coles as well which is handy. Hostel is close to river and everything so no need to extensively walk too far. If you don't like walking, then trams at your doorstep.

It's hard to believe that it has been 10 days since I published my last blog post - things have been so busy! I guess that's the major contrast between the voluntary work and travelling though; with the voluntary work you stay in the same place for a time and develop a (not unwelcome) routine whilst with the travelling you're constantly moving. …

Well we were meant to get breakfast at the motel this morning, but as the staff hadn't opened up we went to a cafe nearby instead! After enjoying a good egg and bacon butty courtesy of the tour guide, we grabbed some food for lunch time and we set off down to Wilsons promontory. When we got there we went for a hike down to squeaky beach, which as …

As we only had one day in Melbourne, it was really hard to decide what we wanted to do. In the end we decided to go to Melbourne Park, the home of the Australian Open for a tour around the Rod Lacer arena. It was interesting to see how other Grand Slam tournaments are set up, as when we went to Flushing Meadows in the US they weren't really set up …

I arrived in the city of 'four seasons in one day' (in the only country on earth that eats its own national emblem) at 12:10p.m...very spaced out.

I walked through duty free and thought about buying some booze. A nice Aussie lady convinced me. "They'll love it", she said. Ok then, so to get into the spirit(s) of Australia I bought a li...
