Arrived after a short hop from Singapore, 4.5 hour flight in which Chris passed out and I got bored coz the lights were out and I couldn't sleep. For some reason we got dinner and a drink, as well as a blanket and stuff, whereas most passengers didn't. The following morning we flew up to Darwin from Alice. On arrival it was clear that this short hop had affected a massive change in our surroundings. Coming in to land, instead of the red dust to which we had become accustomed, we were greeted by rolling green hills and lush palm trees and vegetation. At the moment we have our mid-semester-break, so for the next two weeks we are free from uni. I figured why not take the opportunity and travel a bit more while I'm already here, so yesterday I packed my bags and jumped on a flight to Darwin. Well Darwin isn't as rainy as i was expecting, only seen one thunder storm in 2days. Its really warm, hotter than Perth, more humid also, it reminds me of the conditions in Thailand,Malaysia and Singapore. I guess there pretty close. so i landed in Darwin Thursday after sleeping the whole way. i checked into the melaluca on mitchel hostel.
