Sarah and Helen are flying to Cairns in a couple of days but I will stay in Darwin to wait for Karin and Sylvia who are on a roadtrip to Darwin themselves. Together we wanna do Kakadu National Park. I met them in Broome before but just for one night and as Karin is in Australia I really wanna see her again so it‘s worth the wait.

headed out for a wander through the smith street mall, saw the old town hall ruined in the cyclone, quite a bit of aboriginal art and sculpture around, and also the site of the first overland telegraph pole!

Once again at 9am it was boiling and the humidity was unreal!! I walked around the city and visited the parliament building which was pretty impressive to look at! Then I headed down to the waterfront and went to the lagoon for a few hours which has several safety nets up to keep the jellyfish (and any wandering crocs) out! Wandered around the town …
