ON the famous east coast!!!!!!!!! Our flight was about 4 hours from Perth to Sydney. The views from the top were amazing. Qantus is a really good airline. Since last updating we have passed through Canberra for 2 days (more than enough) and then been in Sydney for the last 3 days. Hi! Sorry for the delay in updating (and e-mailing, if I owe you one), but it's been an action-packed week and I've had very little internet time. First thing Monday morning I met the Autopia backpacker bus at the Pint on Punt pub near my hostel. Back in Sydney. Stayed in a spot called Maze backpackers in the middle of town for a few nights. The room was like an oven. A midget German lad was staying in the bunk above me, but there was no ladder for him to get up or down, when he had to go to the toilet in the middle of the night he had to jump off the thing and land on the floor. We arrived in Australia after a smooth and comfortable flight. The film on the plane was rubbish but apart from that we couldn't complain. We're currently staying at Maze backpackers hostel which is the biggest hostel I've stayed in so far housing something like 500 people. Day 1 It was time to leave the comfort of Kathleen's and head for the bright lights of Sydney. Taking our time to get up, do more laundry, pack and have breakfast we grabbed a lift to the station, said our goodbyes and departed for Central. Well my luck certainly ran out with the Greyhound Coaches last night. The coach left Byron Bay at 21.25 last night 30 minutes late. The driver was a miserable ******* ( only way to describe him ) So no one person to two seats have had on other legs of the journey. Anyway 13 hours and 3 stops later we arrive in Sydney. Next day, we headed back to Sydney and got ourselves ready for the opera. We put on our best dresses (all of which were buried at the bottom of our rucksacks), brushed our hair (a rarity for me these days), and headed for the Opera House so we could get a nice glass of wine at the Opera Bar before the show.
