Not much else but beautiful springs
We leave Bachelor early and have decided to drive to Edith Falls for a look and see if we can stay the night. We arrive and it's hot and there are a million flies. We inquire about sites and they have no powered sites at all. As we have had a problem with our charging system for lighting (Stewie found a plug loose) and were not fully charged up, we …
Water, Water Everywhere
Hello Peeps,
Today we find ourselves in Mataranka, only a few hundred clicks short of Darwin. We would have driven straight through this place had it not been for a conversation Sarah had had with a fellow traveller (in the toilet block of all places) a few minutes before we pulled out of our camp that morning.

Just arrived, and so close to the hot springs. Long drive, set up and enjoy the thermal pool....where has this place been all my life?

Have stayed here twice before, & would stay here again. A short drive out of town.
A bush style campground, with the thermal pools right on your doorstep.
Nightly entertainment under the stars, in the outdoor bar/meals area.
Amenities building has a few years under its belt, but is exactly what you would expect for the style of the resort. Amenities were large, clean, well maintained, & heaps of hot water.
Would definatley recommend staying here to others.
