... couple who`s swimwear left little to the imagination. Our day was filled with snorkeling in various picturesque bays which suprisingly was not ruined by being surrounded by dozens of party boats. We stopped for a lovely, if not a bit expensive, lunch of chicken, rice and a bean dish which we were informed is a local stock food and eaten most meals.

In the evening we had a few drinks with Luke, chilled in our hostel and prepared for the next day`s trip to Paraty.

After a short bus ride we arrived into Angra dos Reis, a port town a few hours south of Rio. From there we took a boat over to Ilha Grande (Big Island) where we had planned to spend a couple of nights. We arrived too late to catch the last ferry over to the island, but there were speedboats going across every few hours. The boat left at 6pm, by which time it was pitch black outside - kind of freaky! And even more so when the driver failed to notice that, at ...

Today we travelled to Ilia Grande, and Island South of Rio, the two hour bus ride to the port was longer than expected, when two hours into the journey we drove back through Lapa to finish off the hostel pick ups! When we got to the port it was an hour boat over to the island, which looked like paradise! We checked into the hostel and then sat on the beach until sunset. Then we grabbed some dinner and planned our hike for the next day before heading to ...

... eggs. There were loads of then running all over the place, kids screaming cos they were scared, dogs being attacked by them and adults running after them to take pictures, quite an amusing site. Up early the next day to go on the dive boat. There are 8 of us on the boat, most people had their paid licences so were diving but there were also a couple who were doing a try dive. I had already tried diving and did. It really like to so just opted for snorkelling. ...

    I Go To Rio

The rains last night left behind some pretty thick cloud cover this
morning that would only raise the humidity once the sun warms the
island up. I still can’t get my wifi to connect at the hostel and the
irritatingly slow internet cafe across the street is pretty expensive
for the connection speed they offer. If it even stays connected.. Not
much to do on an over ...
