Heading up to the Sunshine Coast!
Today we left Burleigh Heads and headed up to Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast, about 3 hours drive north.
We had lunch at a park near the beach in Dicky Beach, then got back on the road. We managed to get a bit lost, but finally found our way to Maroochydore and booked in at the YHA backpackers.

Rain in Maroochydore....
From the 16th to the 18th it was really bad weather, with non-stop heavy rain, so we stayed inside most of the time. We did venture out a couple of times to the Sunshine Plaza and other shops to start applying for jobs and look for flats.
We found a flat today in Mooloolaba and we are moving in on Saturday!

Sleeping in the back of a car is a 'try it once' thing; never again will I choose to do it! Maroochydore - Our first ever surf lesson
Today is sunny again. After the breakfast we took the boogie boards and went to the beach. After 2 hours of boarding we had a break at a little café place. We used the break to think about a proper surf lessons. The school was nothing more than a van parked at the beach. We had nothing else to do, hence we did it. What shall I say? It was great fun …
Maroochydore – rescuing our little coffee ma
Travelled to Maroochydore. Everything went great the courtesy bus brought us to the Greyhound bus stop. The Greyhound picked us up soon later. Only seconds after the Greyhound arrived in Maroochydore we got picked up by the YHA courtesy bus. German Massarbeit!
