Airlie beach and the beautiful Whitsundays!

The Whitsunday Islands!

After another over night bus we arrived at Airlie Beach. Here is where we would set sail to the Whitsunday Islands on a boat called Habibi for the three days.

Day 12 (10th January) - After arriving early we decided to have a relaxing day at the manmade lagoon. At Airlie Beach you are unable to go into the water because of stingers that can …

Sailing the Whitsundays

We arrived into Airlie Beach at about midday on Tuesday. We found a hostel that had camp sites called Magnum's. It was right on the main strip. Once we'd checked in and had some lunch we went for a bit of a stroll. We found that we were right across the road from the lagoon which is surrounded by grass and sandy areas. The sun was out and therefore …

Note - the Photos... are now here ----- Hi fellow blogees. Welcome back to the next episode in this saga. Coming up - the most amazing beach in the world, how to find out the colour of adrenaline, and exactly how far apart two neighbouring cities in Australia actually are when you are limited to 100kph in a car and not 800 or so in a plane. The …

Escaping Townsville I took the ferry over to Magnetic Island being sprayed by sea water at the back most of the way there feeling refreshed and wide awake on my arrival to then spend the next few hours hardly moving from the side of the hostel pool. The excuse for this was to do the sensible thing and wait for the afternoon heat to die down …

Good Value, Poor Service, Party Central.

Centrally located in Airlie Beach, great price for a private double room. This place is party central, with its own bar and casino. Expect to be noisy and drunk people everywhere, and don't expect the front desk to care if you want some help, cause no one will be around at night.
