... In bed asleep by 10pm. It was pretty yuk weather - wet and quite cool - so we just caught a cab to The Grove Shopping Centre but as it was all outdoors we didn't last long but I did manage to buy a jacket at Michael Kors and some shoes! ... in LA" and found the Laugh Factory. Every year, for 34 years now, they offer a free meal and a comedy show to anyone who wants to come. We had to wait over two hours outside in a line, but it payed off. We got a great meal and could laugh a bit as well.

To sum up, LA turned out to be much less glamorous than my idea of it was. It's a great city, but a bit expensive and so spread out that you really need a car to get to many places.

... at the bus station and we had a great weekend hanging out with him, his new wife Ashley, and 2 other soon to be wed kiwis, Kerridyn and Al, who are currently living in Dallas. It was a fun reunion with great friends. Great Mexican food was eaten (including a breakfast burritos banquet!), we went hiking in the beautiful arid landscape with 30 foot high cacti. We had never seen such huge cacti! We went to the pub one night and had real America fare. ...
