So after dashing out of work on Friday, I made it to Waterloo International with enough time left over to buy a French phrase book and for a sandwich and a beer. A very quick 50 mins later we enter the tunnel.... The French countryside between the coast and Paris is suprisingly empty actually, so I make the most of the time by reading my guide book …
How I was Nearly Eaten by a Tram
I made it to Paris,
safe and sound! The plane ride from Chicago
to Philadelphia wasn’t bad at
all! Very short, actually! The next flight was delayed by about an
hour. I guess they had to replace the
entire computer on board! Yikes! But we finally made it into the air! The food was okay…but really not great at

Day 1 in Paris or The Longest Day EVER
So, by this point, I've arrived to the airport, I’ve met up
with my CIEE group and now I’m simply just waiting at the airport. By this
time, it’s about 9:45 in the morning

Day 2 or Navigating Paris, Alone!
Today, I went to Monmartre, a beautiful cathedral on an ENORMOUS hill. I'm not kidding you when I say enormous! We walked up all the way from the Metro so, there were a lot, A LOT of stairs! Good hostel,clean and safe with helpful staff, but full of school trips and not many independent travels. WIFI extra and wall paper thin, ear plugs essential!
