Met some nice people and had a good stay at ths lovely boutique hostel. It's a little out of the way, the other Lub d in Siam sq is more central but more costly apparently. All good though, especially if you were travelling alone.

(J): We took a lovely little turbo prop from Siem Reap to Bangkok, and arrived in the early afternoon at our hostel, Lub D. It was really more of a hotel and our stay there was excellent. Off the plane and we waited and …

Arrived in Bangkok and checked into the hostel which is like a modernised warehouse and very clean!

Decided to do a walking tour of Chinatown from the Lonely planet. Managed to follow the guide for about 5 minutes and then got lost. Chinatown was very interesting, ended up walking around all the alley ways where the wholesale stores are …

Bangkok - Busy, dirty, fun?

A travel blog entry by apeteabroad

So forgot a little about this so will update now, been in Bangkok for a few days now and not entirely sure if I like it or not haha. At first it seemed like such a hectic dirty place and I was worried that everyone was trying to scam me in some way or another but after I got comfortable and actually agreed to enjoy myself I found some fun.
