Wales on tour

... to ourselves:) Except the driver of course, we couldn`t believe our luck. Spent 2 hours cruising about and saw some wales as close as 3 or 4 metres from the boat, awesome really awesome.<br>Next day woke up with a stinking cold so cancelled the days mountain biking and went to see a sealion colony about 16km south of town. Was really cool to see them from about 50m away but could not wait until next days snorkelling in the sea with ...

we appear to be in Patagonia...

... booked ourselves on an excursion into the bay itself and around a bit of the penninsular, unfortunately we were ´rained off´ as the winds picked up and made the boat trip unsafe. So, we sat out the day in the warmth of the hostel being fed with fresh cake baked by the owners - not a bad waste of a day, especially as with the wind the temperature dropped to about -5oC. But, the following day we headed out. Our first stop was on a beach ...

Chillin out with our penguin friends........

... had run out on camera] Would you believe it we actually managed to eat the lot too, all lovely except for what I imagine was meant to be custard tart but actually tasted more like egg mayonnaise (Bri still thought it was nice too though). After having to move chairs around to fit our expanded bellies into the room, would you believe the waitress then came over and asked us if we wanted more!!!!! Now thats service for you! Anyway, after a lovely high tea we headed ...

... just found out that all of our pounds were gone! Aussie money for us now!). The penguin colony was a few hrs away at Point Tombo, where more then a Million penguins migrated to breed. It was a vey cool day, the penguins weren't scared of you at all and you could get just a few centimetres away from them. Our guide was very knowledgeable and ...

Argentina: Puerto Madryn & Trelew

... to worry the locals. The penguins were great we have hundreds of pictures which I will upload when we get them on disc. Lots of babies covered in fluff. You can walk really close to them and although you have to keep to the path they sit in the middle of it and look at you expectantly or waddle across in front of you. I have to say they are quite noisy and very smelly. From here we travelled Gaiman, the guidebook had promised authentic Welsh ...

To the East Side - Puerto Madryn

Wow, so we got a little behind, sorry. Enjoy!!! We are now in Puerto Madryn and it's a great coastal beach town in the Patagonia. We are only a few blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and a beautiful beach. We are technically in the desert, but doesn't really seem like it. It's very laid back here and not much going on...prefect for us for a few days. The hostel we are staying at is great in a lot of ways. It has a big kitchen we are making great meals in. Last night Brian grilled ...

The Journey Continues......

... me chuckle. The restaurant had a set menu for the evening, and plenty of free champagne. It was full and the atmosphere was great. We got talking to our waiter and he looked after us all night, even to the extent that I managed to nick a cool t-shirt from him (much to Lorraines annoyance as she had told me what to say!). As midnight approached, more champagne was handed out and the place erupted on the stroke of 12 (well actually a waiter standing on a ...
