      Great atmosphere, music and communal kitchen! Been hosteling for 5 months in Europe and this has by far been the best!

      ... end of WW2. It's been totally rebuilt and the old town looks as if it were all original buildings.

      The contrast to Prague couldn't be greater. It's very quiet here, a city of about 500,000. The streets are wide and there is a lot of greenspace. We love it. Also, there's a lot of nightlife.       Today we toured the porcelain factory on Meissen. Harry looked while I bought :). Because of demand for Chinese porcelain this factory was built in the mid 1700's..the first outside of Asia. Of course,it was incredibly beautiful and breathtakingly priced, but the artistry can't be topped. Last night we stayed in a stellplatze about 4 feet from the rivers edge.
