Last stop Kuching
Well its hot here in Kuching and hard for me to get motivated to do anything. Yesterday Mia and I visited the weekend market but even under the shade it was like an oven.
Kuching becomes alot more enjoyable at night when the temperature drops to mid to high 20s. We caught a boat over the river and had Laska and delicious fresh juice, …
Cute Kuching
Monday 6 February 2012
I slept surprisingly well considering the 8 hour time difference. Even managing to get up to catch a 7.15am bus to Semenggoh.
Semenggoh is the location of the orang-utan wildlife centre. It was set up in 1975 to care for wild orang-utans which were found injured in the forest, orphaned, or previously …

So today we decided to have a look at the museums in Kuching to learn a bit about the tribal history and have a look at the indigenous animals. All the museums …

Excellent accomodation, very friendly and helpful owners who gave us a map as soon as we arrived and explained where to get the buses to all the places we wanted to go to e.g bako national park and the orang utan centre. Nice toilets with soap and toilet paper. Room with air con was very clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was toast with peanut butter and bananas on some days.
