Woke up about 10.30am this morning as we planned to go on a cable cart up the mountain and then walk back down. Before we left I quickly FaceTimed mum and dad who is up North with grandma and Ron and showed them the Swiss alps! We then walked to the cabel cart and caught it up to the top. We took some photos and I went on the flying fox - like a big kid! Haha We then walked all the way back down, which took us about 45mins to get back down the ...

... then came back up to the Schilthorn to meet us. Alex and I skied the same runs as Ruth and I had completed earlier in the day and we all met up on the cable car to the Schilthorn where we were planning lunch.

... from the rest of our group and headed back by train to Murren...the clouds had lifted and we were certain we could take the tram to the Schilthorn! Off we went to the tram station, asked for tickets and were told that the tram was not going anywhere, there was quite the storm up top!

So, we took the alternative, the funicular about 1/3 of the way up! We had lunch in the beautiful viewing point, which had an outdoor deck and we got sunburned!

We took ...

Whitecaps to Snowcaps

As we leave Italy early in the morning we can see the white caped waves of the Mediterranean going out of view as the train turns the corner. Ahead of us is the Swiss alps, and the weather is not looking all that great. Our memories of the sea are fading as we enter Switzerland and see the snowcaps. This is a long travel day as there are a lot of train miles to cover.

Our Switzerland trip is going to be short, ...
