Indicating Radio Beacon) worked, where most serious accidents happened and where the rescue helicopters could and couldn't land... my goal quickly changed from finishing in 5 hours to finishing (eventually) with all of my teeth. despite some pretty hairy moments and Daryn receiving a near-fatal bike-seat stab to the butt, we finished in 4 1/2 hours with all of our teeth.

... to swim and cool down. I didn't see them but there were marlin swimming around and one of the male guides dived and brought up a bag of sea urchins. Then proceeded to cut them in half, swam out from the boat a bit and fed the fish. Those with snorkels could see them under the surface. The Maoris eat these sea urchins raw as a delicacy and some people on board were eating them. All I can say is Yuk !! Though I know Dave is up to eating anything out of the sea so there you are Dave ...
... than a large family - what started off as an easy trip with just towels has now morphed into towels, beach chairs (it is official - we are getting old), an umbrella, cooler, boogie boards... on the upside, lugging all our stuff down to the beach is helping to lower our extremely high blood pressure - which we have developed thanks to swallowing gallons and gallons of seawater as we figured out how to boogie board.
