    ... into the volcanic unknown ! We all milled around a group of about 16 and got the safety talk. Basically don't go off the beaten track follow the guide footsteps and don't touch anything ! If there is any unusual volcanic activity follow the guides quickly and if there is a land slip don't try to outrun it go to the side of it. Also there are mounds DON'T walk onto them as they are formed by molten activity under the surface but they are only covered by a thin crust ...

    ... weather. Cheryl's face said it all! But we were assured it would be calm tomorrow so we booked it. Then it was a quick lunch and back to the motel to get out suitable clothing ready for the early start ( about 8:30 sailing). Now where did we pack the fire proof suit and oxygen cylinder?     ... dinning table given a) we have no friends, and b) it is very unlikely we will make 6 friends any time soon.


    Next: the couches we ordered didn't fit up the stairwell... annoying, but a clear first-world problem. Having returned the couches, we (Daryn) researched every single couch we could possibly purchase in NZ and found better ones; when we went to buy the new couches, we were told our estimated delivery time was February 2015. ...
