    ... him over to our son at Auckland airport, and I think I was more excited than he, who naturally couldn't conceive what it would be like until he had experienced it.

    I thought we could manage this easily today, wrong. Things got so busy we didn't even have time to grab some lunch and were throwing final things in our backpack at the last minute literally. Ah well adds to the excitement eh? ...

    ... stinky, oily fish onto a hook - fending off massive seagulls (and massive seagull poops) in hopes of catching a fish that won't immediately be devoured by the seagulls?! fun times...

    Today the croquet started, and Pete drove the bus to Whakatane, about an hour south along the Bay of Plenty. He was playing there, not starting til about 11. While he played, Annette and myself ( her Peter was also playing) took a stroll around town checking out the sights and strolling along the river.     ... inside the crater but not one you'd swim in this was light green in colour, depending on the minerals etc.. In the crater it can be red or blue as well. At the edge of the water it was bright yellow. I believe the water temperature is, let us say, Hot !! At the back of the crater was a big vent and this was billowing out white dense steam ( but not just water nasty things as well like acid etc.. ) like there was no tomorrow which is why it's called White Island. We took loads of pics ...

    ... in a marketable way - for example: Mission C******nay - overpowering hints of tomato vines and fresh dirt, compliments tomato-based dishes to maximize culinary experience; Mission Pinot Gris - tastes much like how goat smells, best served with potatoes. I am sure we will be inundated with job offers in no time. there were, of course, many many fantastic wines that have been re-homed in our wine rack.
