was ok to rest your head. but the beds were a bit worn and springy, and the sheets looked like they had been used for the last 5 years or so. comfy and cosey lounge and kitchen, and what would be a good garden in the summer. Friendly owner.

I was very lucky with the wheather. Met some nice people in Coromandel town. Sometimes the people in the Backpackers smell bad- perhaps they dont take showers? But …
... rather than panned. I followed a road famous for being a favourite of bikers which hugs the Thames estuary right up to coromandel town. Every bend was a photo stop but road very twisty and narrow so couldn't stop. Amazing drive up to the town , found the Anchor backpackers easy enough then went for a walk and food .
