Khao Yai National Park

... so we did and it was amazing. On the back of a jeep in the middle of a pitch black jungle you could see a million stars in the sky and as the ranger pointed the camp torch out into the wild, we also got to see loads of deer, a porcupine, a wild cat and an elephant. The next day we left the cabin at 6.45 in the morning to hike to a waterfall 13 km away and 3 hours later we reached it. It was well worth the hike! We hitch hiked back to the ...

Sawadee Ka, Thailand!

... day in which we colored apples and coconuts and hung them on trees that Hannah and I made. The kids loved coloring, and were acting so silly all day. It's so nice to see them getting used to us and I have to say - I love the random hugs I get all day!

The border crossing was 1.5hrs of paper shuffling, but was relatively painless. Ko Chang I reached in about 1.5hrs although not before severely overshooting the ferry turnoff by 25km due to having too much fun fanging down the roads. I got there in the dark, thankfully the last ferry's at 9 this time ...

Family Visit in Khon Kaen

... the local food and cooked ratatouille and lentil soup for the family to share also. One day a fellow with a roti cart came by and we all had rotis. Rotis are sweet crepes and I was very surprised to find them on the quiet street in the village.

We walked over to the local Wat/Temple and Aor and Aa showed me around. Their great- grandparents each have a monument in their memory. There are two beautiful old trees on the temple grounds and the Temple buildings ...
