We couldn't pay a tour guide to give us an experience like we had today.... Saksay's family had a special gathering to raise money for a Temple/School where his Auntie was from in Ban Chang.

Our day started out in the most adventurous way...Saksay comes and picks us up in his Geo Metro...that's right all 7 of us in a Geo Metro and takes us to his ...

... sleep. At 6:30 am we boarded a 1 hour flight to Khon Kaen. Rob was at the airport to pick us up, but seeing a couple of disheveled young adults with bags under their eyes and large hiking bags on their backs he assumed we missed our flight and left. We tried numerous times to figure out how to use the pay phone at the airport, finally we swallowed our pride and tried asking a kind young Thai girl at the nearby cafe how to use it. She did not speak English ...

... country so hey ho we thought let’s check it out.

We drove for about 45 mins through these tiny villages and some pretty poor roads when all of a sudden all you could see was water, we pulled up and the view was awesome. A huge lake surrounded by mountains and loads of deckchairs and bamboo huts. It seems it is a Thai holiday spot where they just chill eat food and swim. We were the only tourists again so it ...
