... Louis XV twin brother! When the prisoner died everything he had was burned so it is a mystery as to who it was! Strange stuff! They had some relics from shipwrecks in the area and a couple of models showing how the area collected water and was heated etc. There was also a nice view over the Cannes harbour / marina.

It was getting hot so we thought we'd walk around and see if there were any nice beaches on the island to swim at. We were certainly doing lots ...

... walking the secure bow line forward, I threw the final stern line ashore to the waiting sailer from our neighbor. Not only did I throw the large heavy line, but I got it into the hands of the man ashore. I then took the other end and secured it to Milena, and began adjusting the length and tension, until Millie was evenly spaced away from the boat on the starboard, and had plenty of space on the port for another boat to "slip" in. ...

... the street or stop you get on 2) always bring a map, and 3) don't try to catch a bus again after dark. Cuz if you don't know the name of the place you get on, don't know where you are, and then try to figure it out on the bus in the dark all it leads to is a 40 minute bus trip and a 60 dollar taxi ride back to your hotel. We get back late, eat at the same Italian place again and I end up watching True Blood in French. It still sucked.

Creme Brulee is Fireworks in Your Mouth

rouille. The crème brulee was brought out in three little ceramic dishes, one
for each flavor. There was pistachio, (not something that crème brulee should
ever taste like), raspberry (good, but didn’t really taste like crème brulee),
and vanilla (obviously the most true to form and therefore the best).
Naturally, this did not stop me from scarfing down all three servings plus one
of the other girl’s pistachio because she’s allergic ...
