Woke up after another delightful sleep. Feeling a lot better now we are off the Contiki tour. Lol. There's a spot where most of the postcards of vernazza are taken from on the side of the cliff, so we wandered up before we left. First things first coffee, I'm loving Italian coffee. We shared a Calzone, and then ventured up the hill. Not as far as I thought it was going to be, which I was happy about. ... air con’ has also stopped’. I fumbled my way to the cabin door and opened it. I popped by head out. The passage way was brightly lit so the power outage seemed to be contained to the cabins. I notices Cletus, the slack jawed yokel from the cabin next door had also popped his head out confirming that the blackout wasn’t just contained within our cabin.

As I came back in Roisin was already half way dressed. (I think she was, It was pitch black!!

... it was time to make the most of the scorching weather and find ourselves a private beach to settle at for the day. We wandered down the street and not long after were settled on the beach having lunch. It had been a long running joke that Marin and I were destined to be a couple so lunch did not run shy of many a joke aimed at both our expense. Needless to say the dynamic of the four of us was fun and easy and lunch foreshadowed the endless jokes, laughter ...

What a day! Left Nimes at 7:30 to get to Cagnes Sur Mer and watch Simon Gerrans in the yellow jersey for Le Tour De France. Came across one accident and then a massive traffic jam so missed the race by less than a minute- pretty happy! The day kept improving- took us nearly 2 hours ...

... and the land crowded with apartments, hotels and villas. Then we started to climb and took many switchbacks to the Upper Corniche. At the top we view the peninsula St. jean Cap Ferrat. We could also see the second most expensive house in the world. One woman lives there. Twenty people maintain the house and grounds. The most expensive house in the world is in Mumbai, India. We drove to the perfume factory near Eze, Fragonard. ...
