... the person he wanted to emulate at a school event, so he already knew some background on this legendary man. But the movie was well-done and informative. I felt better having some history of the troubled country we were soon to visit.

Our happy, sunny sojourn on the French Riviera over, we took a short flight to Zurich, where Sam's good friend from Switzerland, Yann Balleys, met us and hosted us in his impressively modern and green home.

... unexpected highlight of the entire trip. Sailing along in the opposite direction were two riders from the Sky pro team! Full team kit, Pinarello Dogma bikes, the works. They must have been part of Sky's Tour de France squad doing a final tune-up before the race starts on Saturday. It happened so fast that there was no way I could get a photo or even catch their names (Sky puts its riders' names up the side of their team jerseys). ...

... I found the equally old Italian villages where people actually still live more interesting. Eze might have residents, but you couldn’t tell beyond the rows of art and tourist shops.
