The Cradle Rocked me!
After a frozen evening at the backpackers, we woke to a beautiful clear day...doesn't get any better...for viewing Cradle Mountain which is in clouds 8 out of 10 days. Saw a wombat on the trail...they look like a small bear from a distance...and the lack of wind made for near perfect reflections on the water
Tassie

Our flight landed in Launceston, a small city at the top of the island, on a Bank …

TravelPod Member ReviewsLaunceston Backpackers
It was very cold and management's policy about keeping exterior doors open at all times made for very uncomfortable showers, cold breakfasts. But the restored home and accommodations, kitchen were nice. Need more pots in the kitchen. Managers need a course in people skills.
