... Polonia were from Uruguay or Argentina, 5% from Brazil, the rest 'other') but as English speakers we're used to slowing down and using simple words when someone only has basic knowledge. Here it's rapido or nada.

It's even harder here as the language has changed so much. No s's are pronounced (dos becomes do) and the double l's are now 'sh' instead of 'y', so the local town of Castillos is now cas-teesh-oss not cas-tee-yoss. ...

The bus dropped us off yesterday at a small open air terminal where we saw a sign for 4x4 transport. We bought our tickets and shortly after a big safari type truck appeared. We had to climb up a ladder with our massive packs and then fasten them to the sided of the open truck. ... or solar panels, hot showers could only be found in the few hostels. The village is a collection of multi-hued shoe-box houses, some look like colourful patchwork blankets, some are painted with images of fish and other sea-creatures, and its perched on a huge dune, some 4000 years old. On the coast you can see some seals and sea-lions. What an experience it was to stay in this place, how wonderfully unique Cabo Polonio is!

So we watched for 15 minutes as this guy reattached the alignment to his front tires using a pocket knife, a piece or wire, and half a rubber tube. We drove through the sand dunes and across the beach toward town, and then the alignment fell off again, so we decided to walk the rest.
