Everyone was up early and we stored everyone's bags in my room. We were escorted to another building for breakfast. Mmmmmmmm, meat and cheese!!!! Northern Europeans know how to do breakfast!!!!

We were escorted through the residential area between the hostel and the train station on a zig-zag route. We were assured it was a short cut. Hmmmm. We arrived in enough time to catch the bus to Billund. After an hour ride, we arrived at the Lego World Headquarters.

... amusing but overall a little disappointing in my opinion (Sorry lulu!) Eventually the rain passed so we headed off to see Oskar's grandma who is currently in hospital. She informed us today was the most rain Esbjerg had ever had so we are extremely lucky not to be cycling! We had a lovely chat and it is wonderful news that she is getting much better. Afterwards we headed off to ...

We arrived at Oskar's grandma's house at 4:30pm literally minutes ...

... It became an important part of the defence of what we now know as modern Denmark as the boundary between it and northern Germany oscillated over the centuries.
It was burnt down and rebuilt a couple of times, the most recent about 200 years ago, some of which has not been restored apart from walkways to allow access.
We finished the day with a meal of tender veal at the hotel at Fredericia where we are staying the night. Scandinavia we have ...

Up early for a mozzie infested forest run for Prego. We took a different route and found a tree swing this time! Then back to the van to pack up and off to Billund. A good run, along the highways. Holland has Rhododendrons, Denmark has bright purple Lupins littering the roadside. We arrived at Legoland at about 12 ish and found the perfect shaded spot for the van. We sorted screens, windows, curtains etc. and said goodbye ...
