The sun was out again today, giving a totally different experience from yesterday. We found out it was minus 14 on the mountain yesterday, no wonder we felt chilled to the bone! Today was minus 5, but the wind was still and the sun kept us warm. In 3 days we've managed to gain more confidence and it felt really good to fly down the mountain. ... snowboarding/skiing on powder is all about now Ive actually experienced it. It feels like you are actually flying down a mountain on a hoverboard...its just amazing!

We found another small traditional Japanese place to eat, sitting at low tables on cushions, with just a few locals for company. We ate fried rice balls, oysters, tofu, pork, gyoza, all so delicious.

After a decent sleep on our comfy futons in our tatami room we devoured a breakfast of cereal, pancakes and toast then we headed off to the slopes. The gondala took about 15 minutes to get up the mountain to an altitude of 1450 metres (the summit being at 1600m).The sky was blue, it was reasonably warm...a perfect day for getting out on the snow. We were all a bit rusty, having not been out on the snow for 6 months, ...

... night out and ended up drinking with a professional Japanese snowboarder, Ben beating all the locals at arm wrestling, playing darts, beating aussies at table football & teaching locals to do tequila suicides. Today was our last day skiing :( so none of us kids did lessons. It was also a very snowy and foggy day! The downpour of snow made the skiing really good though! All 11 of its headed up the gondola to Hakuba 47 in the morning and we skiied some runs there. It was VERY cloudy. The Sowry's (except for Jack) and Holly went back over to Goryu and we stayed to do some more red runs. The snow was so good. Then we started skiing back down to ...
