Kinlay House Galway

Hi all well im in Galway after taking a wonderful tour with Paddywagon tours. I highly recommend them if you look them up. I am currently taking a Six day Southern Tour of Ireland. I have a lot of thoughts about Northern Ireland whirling around my head and I wanted to get some of them out into the ether. The north was markedly more industrial than the republic. After a rather bumpy 5 1/2 hour bus ride from Derry we arrived in the sweet little town of Galway and stumbled into our favorite hostel yet. We began our little three day tour with the lovely folk of Paddy Wagon Tours and our group of 32 consisting mainly of Australians and Canadians. Galway is not known for its marvelous sights and intricate museums, rather it is celebrated in Ireland for having some of the best craic! Craic means party, enjoyment, etc in Irish. Here in Galway as you stroll down Shop street your ears are caressed by the picking of a banjo, the tuning of a fiddle and the rhythms of a djembe. This morning we woke up early for the bus to Galway. I had a wonderful bus ride complete with a nap and great views of the Irish countryside.
