Coralview Island Resort - Day 281-283

... managed to relax and listen to some music without feeling the urge to do something. Talked to a really cool German couple for a while and then it was time to shower and get ready for dinner. A drum is beaten to signify events on the island, meals, activities, etc. so at 7pm when the drum is beaten, it means dinner-time. Another excellent meal and plenty of it too, defiantly won't go hungry here. More silly games tonight after eating. All the guys had to take their ...

Blue Lagoon

... were the type that if you had to be stranded on an island then these were the ones you would want to be stranded on. We finally touched down on water, of course, and arrived. The beach had the whitest, powdery sand with a backdrop of rainforest vegetation and coconut trees and in front the water was crystal clear with a blue lagoon separating other surrounding islands - as a matter of fact, this island became popular after the movie "The Blue Lagoon" was filmed here. Before that it was ...

... hello) and they chant etc and you have to do this all in order which we obviously kept getting totally wrong!! Was fun though but i don't think we are too fussed about drinking it again any time soon! Needless to say we spent every day lying on the beach and getting a good tan! Fiji by Sea

... for about an hour and stopped at the small island, Tivua, for a little snorkeling. I opted to relax, and Janet and I went up to the sun deck (a place where Janet would spend a lot of time). We did have a gorgeous sunset that evening. Janet had decided that she was going to spend the next two days simply reading and relaxing on the ship, and I wasn't far behind, in that I had no intention of doing anything but a little snorkeling and more relaxing ...

Barefoot Hiking

... one of the guides to show me a path toward the summit, and the guy, Ruben, decided to take me up there himself. We walked only 5 minutes to the top of the hill for a great view of the resort and Wayalailai island nextdoor, but as we were stood there, Ruben pointed out the mountain further inland with that I was keen to go. So off we walked towards the peak, passing through a village on the way. The village has only 200 people living there and is very ...

Ben and Elain who we'd met the first night in Nadi, and with them and Dave one of the days there we went to teh location where they filmed the film the Blue Lagoon where we did some snorkelling, that moring I'd already done the course that is set up around the resort! tin tin's first morning

This morning I awoke at 8am, donned my bikini and walked the 8 meters from my bure to the aquamarine water. As the sun rose above the hills behind me, the water sparkled cleare and my shadow was cast on the ocean floor. After floating weightless and watching the sunlight unfold on the island across the water, the drum beat calloing me to my breakfast. This is a damn good way to start the day... The drum beat ...
