... Museum. This museum was a perfect size - large enough to be really interesting but not so large that it becomes overwhelming. It had many of the artifacts from the theatre and the city, making it possible to see the actual statues and several other antiquities of the same time period.

We finished by heading back to our hotel and then walking through the downtown to an outdoor restaurant for another Turkish ...

Arriving at the coast

Another 5 hours of driving brought us to the Turkish coast and the city of Anatolya. We had to go over the Taurus Mountain range, which looks surprisingly similar to heading to Squaw - lots of rocks and fir trees. The only difference was that every now and then we would see tents with herders and their goats. Other than that, the highway was quite well built and maintained.

Anatolya is a tourist city ...

... so nice to finally relax a little bit. A night we ate at a pub and then walked around Antalya. It has a nice night life, a lot of groups at nice restaurants . On our way home we witnessed a man poo inside a tourist attraction we were so shocked but couldn't stop ...

... terrace cafe overlooking the Mediterranean. Slow is good! Finished the day off with another Turkish bath. This was an authentic one...not the tourist version! Not too different...except the first part in the sauna was MUCH hotter. Cleaned out my sinuses! Ahhhhhh! Oh- and we had a mud mask with it! Dinner was at an Italian restaurant...good to have a change of pace! On to Pamukkale tomorrow and the hot ...

... able to get a good nite sleep (no 2:00 AM drums!) and also take a nap on the bus. We were able to get some expectorant, throat lozenges, and cold tablets without speaking any English. Just lots of gestures! So hopefully I am over the worst part. Tomorrow is our free day, so I should be able to take it easy. Last nite's experience dining out with Ramadan going on was interesting. Ramadan ends at ...
