... some really nice photographs on exhibition available for purchase but all in all it wasn't as impressive. From here we headed to Pasar Baru, a shopping street around the corner but we didn't do much except walk through with nothing jumping out at us. Hoping to get out of the city we headed for Barivita or the old town which was located near the harbour. It took a train ride out but it is pretty accessible - en route to the train we walked past children playing on garbage hills ...

We were all in disbelief that this was actually happening, it felt like a film, more scarily a film that doesn't have a happy ending (I'm talking titanic), especially as we were heading towards a huge rock. I booked another flight for the next morning which cost about 23 pounds and then booked myself into the airport hotel which was a short walk away. Kuala Lumpur city centre is too far away and not worth it for one night on my own, especially as I've been recommended not to travel in Malaysia as a girl alone. The hotel only had rooms with double beds so I had to ...

      ... next morning.

We got up around 3am, gathered our things and waited in the hotel lobby for our shuttle to pick us up. He arrived right on time at 3:45am and then we picked up 3 other people. Once we had everyone we headed to Setumbu Hill to watch the sun rise from behind the temple. Once the sun was up we made our way to Borobudur Temple. We explored the temple for about two hours before meeting with our driver again. The temple is beautiful. ...
