We walked over Pyrmont Bridge on our way over to the Maritime Museum. It was fascinating to see it had a swing span in the centre. Ros had ancestors who had settled in the Pyrmont area so they probably went over to the city on this bridge. ... Russian visa, International driving licence, travel card and cash oh and of course the flights. (Pretty important) all had the tick of having been completed. I was quite satisfied that I was ready. I then moved on to my list of what to take. In the back of my mind has been a lesson learned from my trip in 2010 to the USA and that is to PACK LIGHT.. You see my trip to the US was my first real overseas adventure... Ever. I succumbed to the rookie traveller mistake ...

My final two days went out with a bang... I saw the band 'Pixies' play in the opera house for the first day of Vivid festival.... Went paddle boarding in rose bay with Alice, a friend from home, before heading out for a nice roof top lunch well earned from all the paddling!
