Toured Out
Hello old friend! It feels like it has been a while! 18 days on tour, a total of 49 hours on a coach, 5 popular places visited, a lot of new friends made. There are so many things I could and want to share - but at the risk of boring you I will try to keep it condensed. So to start will I will tell you about the official holiday stuff.

Last campervan stop - Cairns & Great Barrier Reef
Cairns
Or 'Caynes' – as the locals call it – was our final stop in the Jucy camper van :(
Having long spent the Ozzie budget and being pretty exhausted after 3,700 km in 3 weeks we spent all Sunday just laying out by the lagoon – Aoife was desperate to top up the tan before going back to rainy Sydney …
Muggy but Beautiful
What a JOURNEY that was!! Wow! I HIGHLY recommend Xanax for any international traveler. Made the trip go by really quickly...At least the 14 hour flight between LA and Sydney. Wasn't bad at all. What WAS really long was the flight from Sydney to Cairns. I'd already been travelling for a long time, just wanted to get there, and then as we were …
The Great Barrier Reef
So yesterday I explored one of the great wonders of the modern world; and I can definitely see why. It was absolutely incredible. Words can't describe what it was like to approach on a boat and see the difference in water color and know what was looming beneath the water's surface. I'd hired (rented) a digital camera with a waterproof casing for …

Very nice place with super friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms, I stayed in a 3-bed-room which was nice, though my bed was a bit uncomfortable. They offer loads of tours and book them for you. It's a quiet place and it's a bit far out from the city, but they have a courtesy shuttle to and from the city several times a day. Could probably use more fans in communal areas since it gets really hot and sticky in Cairns during summer months. Would stay there again!

Very nice would stay here again, free breakfast and dinner. Also free shuttle bus into the centre which is only 20 mins walk, lovely walk along the esplanade back.
Will help you out with anything and even get you cheaper deals on Greyhound and boat trips etc.
Wonderful!
Thank you!
