We then visited the Emancipation Proclamation exhibit. I could have spent hours in there. There was so much to read! We got to see Lincoln’s hat, the one he wore the night he was shot. We also saw the tiniest pair of shackles you could imagine. That was chilling. With such little time in these museums it is so easy to miss things. I have no idea how much the kids were catching, but I hope the snippets they saw were valuable and educational. ...

... had at every other stadium tour I'd been on but this was a little special as we got to go up to the media room where the press watch the game, down to the Nats dugout where I got to phone the bullpen (where the relief pitchers watch the game and warm up before being used).
