A great place to meet people with a pool and social atmosphere.
Close to the tram line for getting into town.
Kind of dirty and run down though.

Amazing old house turned into a hostel. Great atmosphere, cold tub for when the humidity gets too much. A tram ride out of the city but a lovely place to come home to.

This small and very lovely hostel had a very magic atmosphere and I felt absolutely like at home there. Cute place with tons of small and lovely details. Not far from city centre, you can walk or either take the cable car for some stations.

I remember thinking in Chicago that it would be the last time I would need a coat on my trip. Wrong. I arrived in New Orleans to tropical conditions. And by tropical, I mean it was ******* it down. So much for the sunny heights I had been expecting. Nevertheless I arrived in good spirits, hoping to hit the jazz bars once the rain had cleared up a …

The sun sunk into indigo and then darkness as i wrapped up some grocery shopping and took off for the last stretch towards the destination new orleans, my first true stop on this southern usa road trip. The drive was fine, stretching but comfortable as i primarily listened to more doug paisley, 5 more lectures from world history (this time spanning …

    Let the good times roll!

And do they ever in New Orleans! Every night the city dances in the street and music is a constant companion be it day or night. After falling in love with Charleston and Savannah I didn't expect to be so bowled over but New Orleans has old world charm and a finger on the pulse of what's hip and happening.
