Super friendly staff, clean rooms, large bathrooms. Big common room to meet other people, kitchen big enough for a few people to cook. Highly recommended.

    Bariloche

Keen to make up for lost time, we stepped out to brave the cold in Bariloche. We had read that Bariloche is the lake district of Argentina and had in mind a number of outdoor activities to enjoy the beauty of this region.

Our hostel was warm, cosy and in a great location. We checked in, dumped our bags in our shared …

Time to cross the Chile/Argentina border again. Hard to put your finger on why, but the second we crossed the border back into Argentina we were both a lot more relaxed and happier. Tuesday we boarded the bus to El Calfate. It was a 26 hour bus so theres not a hug amount to say about that except that there was not enough food. Lunch was at 11.45 am and then we got no food until 9.30pm I was starving! There were lots of friendly people on the bus who I could practice my Argentinian with (they change the pronunciation of things …

Scotch On The Rocks, Glaciers, Ice Trek

... we could not pass these experiences up and the rewards were out of this world. Mother Earth never fails to shock us, we are amazed. Tomorrow we bus down to Puerto Natales, Chile so we can trek the W Trek in in Torres Del Paine National Park. We should have gone there first but took the wrong route. On the maps it appears that you can access the trek from El Calafate but in fact it is necessary to do a 5 hour trip all the way around ice and mountains and down int
