This weekend 13 people and took our first trip to London. I was expecting a city very similar to New York but for some reason I couldn't connect the two cities in my mind. Yeah, London is a metropolitan city with an underground public transport but I nothing else reminded me of New York. There was no scaffolding, hot dog stands, or angry yellow …

Sunday 11th March

This morning I woke up early and left the hostel pretty early unnoticed – yay I had survived! I headed to the coffee shop and had some breaky and tea while I waited for the next train. I then went to the station and got the 2 hour train back to London. Once in London I dropped my stuff off and headed to …

Day 1 - Monday 10 Aug - We arrived in London at Monday lunchtime, exhausted after 30 hours of transit. The flight here was ok, from Melbourne to Dubai we had a row of four seats to ourselves so we could stretch out a bit. Dubai to London we were in a row of three that was full but we were awake for the whole flight so it wasn't a big problem.

London, London London!! What an amazing city...granted, it's not the best time to visit during Christmas when one, you're missing your family and two, EVERYTHING'S closed but hey, when you step out from the tube the first time and Big Ben's staring at you at the exit, you realise it's all worth it.

So, after the whole debaucle in Heathrow …

Good morning,
Wow, I feel SO much better this morning. I now feel that I can say that I fully appreciate sleeping on a bed. I feel three times better than I felt yesterday. I ended up taking a nap for a bit yesterday in the hostel. Meeting the people in my 9 co-ed room and trying to rest my feet from all the walking I have been up to. I am …

Nice area near Hyde park in kensington although about 10mins from the nearest tube, clean big ensuited rooms, although lots of stairs to get there, big kitchen and common area, good free breaky and good wifi but lockers weren't great, but at least they were there!

Awesome hostel, classy-est neighbourhood I've stayed at and literally 5 mins walk from the science museum AND natural history museum. Walkable distance to the tube and fantastic people with a very cool common room. All for a decent price!
