    ... were initially apprehensive. Then we shared beer and some curry bratwurst slices, and made the short trip to our hotel in Reutte. The view out our window is picture-postcard perfect! We had a more formal group dinner tonight--amazing pumpkin soup, one of the most elaborate salad bars, and then entrees worthy of a Dutch master's paintings. Karen had goulash; I had trout.     ... was very long and up a hill. We could have taken a bus, but the trail was through a forest and the hike was very scenic and enjoyable. Our tour was great except that the number of people in our group was too large, people talked during the guide's presentation and people brought children that were too young to appreciate the castle.     ... Disney created the castle at Disneyland. But we didn't go into it because it's really such a tourist stop....several bus loads arrived just before us and the line for tickets was over a block long. We have one photo.. From a lovely cemetery in Fussen.

    Our spellplatze for the night was quite large but comfortable with lots of stores within walking distance. We stayed two nights here because it rained all day ...
