It was love at first browse. We didn't even bother comparison shopping. Here we could chill for a few
days, enjoy home comforts, and weather the weather. Global Village
offered a cosy lounge with a fire lit by friendly staff everyday at
5pm, free bikes and kayaks, cheap spa and sauna, a decent book
exchange, a piano and guitar, and board games including life-size
backgammon!

Lovely facilities, calm and quiet atmosphere and an easy 20 minute walk to and from the town centre. Highly recommmended.

Glancing at the local map, it didn …

We are hanging out in Greymouth today, awaiting our bus at 130pm, it is 1045 here so we have a bit of a wait. We are at a much faster computer and will update some random things we were unable to do due to that slow, slow computer. (Haha...do due)

Christchurch is a beautiful bustling city that we didn't get to explore that much, just due …

The West Coast, also known as the 'wet coast', experiences the most extreme weather in NZ due to Southwesterlies from Antarctica. When traveling via bike, one can only plan for the worst and hope for the best. And just like every coastline in NZ, it is not flat and sandy like you would expect. In fact, its the exact opposite: jagged rocky cliffs …
