    ... nobody speaks English here.

After filling up on a steak and 'ham hock' dinner, wandering back to our accommodation we noticed a shop 'Australian Homemade Icecream'. Andy asked the man behind the counter (in his best French) what made the icecream Australian. The man responded that the owner was Australian, but didn't live there are he had lots of money and travelled around etc. Once we identified ourselves as Australian, the man, his son and a lady all behind the counter spoke ...

Today we drove about 200km in the ****ing rain ... Both wet till the bone!! Luckily we found a small camping with rooms for rent. The room is actually very big, with a kitchen included. ... apparently everyone but me and later found out Sharon, didn’t know cows could run. Might save those comments for Steve only.

Another early start for us, some breaky, tent down and we are off. We have another day of driving today until we make it to our bush camp. So driving stopped early as we have found a problem, so at the truck stop and then try and sort that out. We are not able hang around for the mechanic for 3 ...

It is another damp cold day although it is not raining or freezing. We miss double glazing on days like this as our windows get full of condensation. Both of us are getting very desperate for a shower. Our immersion heater trips the electric and we obviously can't run our engine so we have no means of getting hot water other than by kettle. We are on a Town quay with no other facilities other than water ...
