      ... have it downstairs, that doesn't seem to be the case. Perched at the top of the stairs is the "best" reception, with difficulties downloading photos or anything other than basic email.

      There is a real log fire in the lounge, and the landlord promises to clean it out daily and restart it for us late afternoon. Definitely a plus. Know how much work goes into maintaining one of those.

This has gone for 75 years, where the quarry gives 200 kilos of blue stone for an artist to come to their town an sculpt a sculpture in four weeks.       It is another damp cold day although it is not raining or freezing. We miss double glazing on days like this as our windows get full of condensation. Both of us are getting very desperate for a shower. Our immersion heater trips the electric and we obviously can't run our engine so we have no means of getting hot water other than by kettle. We are on a Town quay with no other facilities other than water ...
