    Another early start for us, some breaky, tent down and we are off. We have another day of driving today until we make it to our bush camp.     It is another damp cold day although it is not raining or freezing. We miss double glazing on days like this as our windows get full of condensation. Both of us are getting very desperate for a shower. Our immersion heater trips the electric and we obviously can't run our engine so we have no means of getting hot water other than by kettle. We are on a Town quay with no other facilities other than water ...

John went on to the tourism shop/capitainerie to pay for last night and tonight and find out if they know of a mechanic - which they did. The lady phoned him and said he was local with 24 years experience and working with diesel engines both commercial and marine, so John booked him to come between 2 – 4pm today. The guide was not good at English but he provided us with a sheet of info written in English and a woman on the tour turned out to be a Londoner married to a Dutch Man and she helped out with some translation. The guide also managed to tell us some points in English too. There was lots to see with fine collections of arms and cannons, tableaus of the kitchens and troupe quarters plus a walk through tunnels and rooms giving an idea ...
