We feel like zoo animals with all the locals stopping what they are doing and looking at us as some wierd tall white aliens. The children who all learn english at school all practice out their english by shouting "Hello" and "Whats your name" and then all laugh when we answer, giggle and run ...
Gili Air
... gay visjes’ met alleen maar hele lichte
pastelkleurtjes en grote vissen met hele gekke hoofden die non stop aan het
eten waren. We zwommen over een roze-grijs bosje koraal, wat blijkbaar een zee
anemoon moest voorstellen en toen zagen we de visjes waar we ook actief naar
opzoek waren: nemo’s! Volgens mij waren het een mama en papa en twee kindjes.
De kindjes zaten wat dieper in de anemoon en de papa en mama kwamen steeds beschermend iets ...
South Lombok
After a lackluster breakfast at Windy Beach, Eko picked us up on the dot at 10 am for our day trip to South Lombok. This time he provided us with a 12-seater minibus and we climbed onboard. Paradise in Gili

However, upon further inspection Rosie noticed that the sheets were absoloutly filthy. Not normally ones to turn our noses up at the odd little mark, but this was on a whole new level- there were huge great big areas of 'mess' lets say! We wanted to get straight out of there, and we hadn't paid any money so we explained to the worker the mess on the sheets and made a run for it!
We walked further on, in the direction of cheap accomodation ...
