    The bus dropped us at the Prague Castle and we worked our way down into the "Lesser City" or New Town, the smaller, less old part of the city. We crossed the Charles Bridge to the Old Town from back before the 14th century.

    ... could take art classes, there was a symphony, etc and at one point this city was evaluated by the Red Cross. They decided it was a great place to live and passed it, so impressed they cancelled their evaluation of Auschwitz- go figure. Way to go Red Cross. The art work was incredible, as it is always enlightening (not always in a positive way) to see something from the eyes of a child.     ... So that is what we went with. It also included a river cruise, a variety of tours, such as Prague Castle and the Jewish Quarter, and was valid for 48 hours. Today we did the basic circuit and tomorrow will do the other 3. Obviously buses can't get into the city centre so we were walked the 1.5 km by a guide who then told us the interesting things about the Old Town.     ... about other cultures and the people from other countries?

    There are still Opera productions. Lots of Mozart and classic music being played. I saw a film festival in Vienna and saw over an hour of the Opera, definitely intrigued by that.

    People park on the sidewalks, the streets were not built with cars in mind but the buildings were. So the people park on the curbs. There are also trams, buses and metros in most of the bigger cities as well.
