As we stomped into the ice we would walk past and sometimes go over deep crevasses. While our trek was safe, we were always just one bad slip away from falling deep down a crevasse or icy pond. We really did not go far at all, we just stopped to take photos and listen to our guide for most of it.

I woke up nice and early and packed my bags, had brekky then walked to the bus station for my 11am departure. I didn't get any sleep but it was a nice bus ride, and after an hour and a half we stopped at the chilean border to exit. We boarded the bus again and got to the argentinian checkpoint. Again, another pro-Islas Malvinas desolate town but this time with an intimidating fighter jet monument listing all the names of the pilots who died in the war with us. ... I found myself at Laguna Nigel, which was a nature reserve with countless different species of birds, plants and wildflowers.
