      ... lake for another 45 mins so decided to hitch & got a ride with
      the gardeners.

      It transpired there was nothing there and views not up to
      much today to heavy cloud over the volcanoes, Osorno in particular. This meant
      some damp and drizzle on the walk along the river the 6km back to the falls –
      something to do while waiting for the 6pm bus after I’d trudged through the
      volcanic sand on the lakeshore for a bit.

There was also another waterfall in Peulla near the zipline that you can walk to for free and a very nice spot to have a picnic if you just want to hang out for 3 hours while waiting for the return boat departure.       After a final breakfast on the ship we were off by 9.00 for the car journey back to the hotel in Puerto Varas which we stayed in a few days ago. The day was very dull and because of the mist we could see little of the lake that is in front of the hotel. We checked in and were given access to our room immediately despite it being only shortly after 9:30 am. The room we were given is better than the one we had before. The floating forest stretches for many kilometres along the river. Silvio has made a narrow pathway through the trees which he takes you through to get to part of the river which is open.
