This hostel itself is in a great location, just minutes away from the White House as well as lots of museums and bars. There is a laundry room, a common room with a tv and movies to watch and free breakfast too with an almost semi pro kitchen! The hostel also has some great free and cheap activities to get involved in. These are a great way to see things you may not have considered as well as meet lots of lovely people from all over the world.
Possibly a bit expensive but to be honest it's hard to find anywhere cheaper.

Nice Hostel with free breakfast, near everything by walk. Room for 10 is intimate with little section in it.

nice to find a hostel with fixed wooden bunks not creaky metal frames, loved how the 10 bed dorms were sectioned into smaller parts so you at least got a bit more space and werent on top of eachother..... unfortunately the air con was VERY noisy and clunky and didnt do anything to cool the room down but it was very clean, bathrooms were fine and the communal areas were good too. Within walking distance from bars and restaurants and easy base to see the city for a few days. Take the stairs though, the lift is SLOOOOW

This place is for politics and learning, it may be the smaller brother to New York but it feels equally powerful and even more important.

I once read (don't ask me where) an article which described Americanism as the religion of modern times - an all encompassing political, economic, cultural and social phenomenon that permeates the lives of every human being. On one hand, this movement is more subtle than other religions (it would never describe itself as such), but on the other …
