    Great location and good facilities

This hostel itself is in a great location, just minutes away from the White House as well as lots of museums and bars. There is a laundry room, a common room with a tv and movies to watch and free breakfast too with an almost semi pro kitchen! The hostel also has some great free and cheap activities to get involved in. These are a great way to see things you may not have considered as well as meet lots of lovely people from all over the world.
Possibly a bit expensive but to be honest it's hard to find anywhere cheaper.

nice to find a hostel with fixed wooden bunks not creaky metal frames, loved how the 10 bed dorms were sectioned into smaller parts so you at least got a bit more space and werent on top of eachother..... unfortunately the air con was VERY noisy and clunky and didnt do anything to cool the room down but it was very clean, bathrooms were fine and the communal areas were good too. Within walking distance from bars and restaurants and easy base to see the city for a few days. Take the stairs though, the lift is SLOOOOW

Today we started off with our free breakfast, which was quite good. 4 cereals to choose from with bagels, bread, peanut butter, jam, apples, bananas and orange juice. We then popped back to the room to get our stuff before heading off for a day at the museums.

We started at the Smithsonian Museum of American History. This was ok as …

After a horrendous (and sweaty) journey back into the U.S (not cool megabus), we made it to Washington D.C union station. After a much needed drink and McFlurry from McDonalds we began the walk to our hostel. We stayed at Hostelling International - Washington D.C.
