          Great homey stay for a budgeted price

          Walking into the door of the Hawthorne Hostel feels a bit like coming home - very welcoming to travelers. Very friendly staff, very clean, great place to stay.

          After spending less than $100 total in Eugene, which includes a belt purchase since I forgot that too and some stamps (how archaic) I'm on my way to Portland aboard the Amtrak Cascades line.

          ... fish nurseries they toss the dead salmon back into the rivers to bring nutrients back into the river. It shall be disgusting.
          Well that is all I have time to report on now. I have to pack lunch for tomorrow and shower. Both are in dire need of happening.
