Clean, great location and nice layout

The place is situated 2 blocks back from the ferry terminal making it a great location. It is off a main road so not noisy, and there is an internet cafe next door, and an Oxxo (like a 7Eleven) a few doors down. HIghly recommended.

This is the worst hostel I've ever seen. It is dirty (dorms, bathrooms wih full bins), no windows in the unique dorm, staff really unfriendly. There is a nice common area outside, on the roof, but if it's the rainy season which is pretty long in Mexico, there is NO common area inside...So we stayed at the reception, closing the door but they were always opening this door (it was cold) because...this is what the owner wants. They take advantage that they are the cheapest ones in terms of "hostel", but you could pay more and get a nice place.

    ... FOREVER!

It was nice having a great day with her and leaving the country with a good farewell to all my friends and family. This will be an adventure to remember for sure. It will be probably about 2 weeks until my next blog unless I find some free wifi at one of the islands along the way.

I'm looking forward to Day 2 on the ship, Cinco de Mayo! Ayyyyyy! Until next time guys! Stay thirsty my friends!

... wise), for the princely sum of 83 pesos. Stoked. And we fed the stray do who was waiting on the footpath (another man started it, not us!). He was a nice dog and it pretty difficult for me to follow the 'no patting dogs' rule over here in case of rabies. There are lots of ones around, mostly pets, but some strays. So now were home to a hotel full of children tonight - they are busy swimming in the pool so that should tire them out.. Hopefully! hasta ...

... Raw egg? Are you shittin' me?" Undeterred Oscar lines up all the bowls of raw egg and spoons the boiling liquid into them instantly creating little, soft yellow clouds in the bowls that taste like the silkiest, fluffiest scrambled egg. It's absolutely delicious. As we eat Oscar announces, "We have all that we need. Good food, good wine, good company and," gesturing at Hernando on the laptop, "good music". Considering Hernando seems to be a fan of Mexican-style Stock ...

... we'd have to catch a catamaran over to Cozumel.

After a 45 minute pleasant boat journey, we arrived at Cozumel. We were immediately set upon by numerous touts trying to sell us every available tour, rent us a car and even rent us a tuk-tuk services! I'd booked a hostel with a pool as apparently Cozumel was extremely hot but what we didn't realise was how far it actually was from the town - it was around ...
