The place is situated 2 blocks back from the ferry terminal making it a great location. It is off a main road so not noisy, and there is an internet cafe next door, and an Oxxo (like a 7Eleven) a few doors down. HIghly recommended.

This is the worst hostel I've ever seen. It is dirty (dorms, bathrooms wih full bins), no windows in the unique dorm, staff really unfriendly. There is a nice common area outside, on the roof, but if it's the rainy season which is pretty long in Mexico, there is NO common area inside...So we stayed at the reception, closing the door but they were always opening this door (it was cold) because...this is what the owner wants. They take advantage that they are the cheapest ones in terms of "hostel", but you could pay more and get a nice place.

Woke up with Dimi at around 8.30am...the guys were heading out to Tulum and Akumal for the day and I had decided to give it a miss as I had already been 11 weeks ago. Chilled out in bed watching How I Met Your Mother for a couple of hours and then went with David to the bus station - sniff another goodbye! Felt a bit strange to ...

... from paintings to sculptures, clothes to ceramics, coffees to liquers, spices to jewellery, and even one enormous store calling itself the Tequila Museum. Dangerous! In one particular gallery we come across a series of paintings by a Mexican artist called Ricardo Comparo that I can't stop thinking about afterwards and may have to return for later, but reining ourselves in we walk the length of the Avenue and only make one small souvenir purchase as we go. By the time ...

... are absolutely enormous with arms reaching off into the dark… I wouldn’t like to go through without a guide, I’d be lost in there forever!

On the way back to the ship we stopped at a little place, just on the side of the road out there all by itself, for lunch. They fed us some chicken with rice and beans and also a rum punch… yummy… then Axel asked us if we’d like a punch for the road…ummm, yes ...
