Lots of fun floating around the lazy river.
Good lunch at the BBQ hut by the beach and salads by the pool.
Waterproof bingo by the pool.
Counting lizards (18!) on path to our place.
Your not kidding when you tell us the sun is strong! Nothing wrong with SPF 60 sunscreen!

Cruisin' in the Caribbean

... are absolutely enormous with arms reaching off into the dark… I wouldn’t like to go through without a guide, I’d be lost in there forever!

On the way back to the ship we stopped at a little place, just on the side of the road out there all by itself, for lunch. They fed us some chicken with rice and beans and also a rum punch… yummy… then Axel asked us if we’d like a punch for the road…ummm, yes ...

Playa del Carmen

... decided to go - me, Claire, Jade, Leanne and Jen. We were supposed to be picked up at 9am but in true Mexican style Dave was 30 minutes late...

It was about a 20 minutes drive to the park with the cenotes. Cenotes are sinkholes filled with water usually it is an entrance to a cave and they are found mostly in this area of Mexico. We went swimming in 2 caves and they were really fun. The water was "refreshing" but it was ok once we were in. We had hired snorkel ...

The place is situated 2 blocks back from the ferry terminal making it a great location. It is off a main road so not noisy, and there is an internet cafe next door, and an Oxxo (like a 7Eleven) a few doors down. HIghly recommended.

This is the worst hostel I've ever seen. It is dirty (dorms, bathrooms wih full bins), no windows in the unique dorm, staff really unfriendly. There is a nice common area outside, on the roof, but if it's the rainy season which is pretty long in Mexico, there is NO common area inside...So we stayed at the reception, closing the door but they were always opening this door (it was cold) because...this is what the owner wants. They take advantage that they are the cheapest ones in terms of "hostel", but you could pay more and get a nice place.
