The place is situated 2 blocks back from the ferry terminal making it a great location. It is off a main road so not noisy, and there is an internet cafe next door, and an Oxxo (like a 7Eleven) a few doors down. HIghly recommended.

This is the worst hostel I've ever seen. It is dirty (dorms, bathrooms wih full bins), no windows in the unique dorm, staff really unfriendly. There is a nice common area outside, on the roof, but if it's the rainy season which is pretty long in Mexico, there is NO common area inside...So we stayed at the reception, closing the door but they were always opening this door (it was cold) because...this is what the owner wants. They take advantage that they are the cheapest ones in terms of "hostel", but you could pay more and get a nice place.

... about 80-85 lbs they figured. Nice big sailfish. Jodi again has the pictures. Lori decided not to keep it, and mount it, as the sailfish are only for trophy, we threw it back and let him swim away. We were all excited over that catch, as it was very rare durring this time of the season. We started back to shore, stacie at this point is lieing on her back in the cabin, looks like she is dead. Definatly time to take her back. We went back out of the big swells, and into the ...

... re finally about to settle on an artwork split across four canvasses, one of the other assistants starts hanging a striking six-piece design entitled 'Danza', of a Mexican lady swirling her dress around her; a riot of reds and blues that due to the materials used changes colours and textures dependent on how it's lit. Coman instantly falls in love with it so rather than hesitate any further we buy it on the spot and hurry back to the hotel. David and Lynne are already at ...

... a mostly pedestrianised street packed with bars, restaurants and shops. We strolled down the avenue and then turned into the town proper where we found Mega, a massive supermarket. We soon had a trolley full of things for the fridge, mainly beer and breakfast foods. As we walked back we mulled over our first impressions of Playa del Carmen. The town was definitely the most touristy place we had visited. Here we would have to adapt to being ...
