... first adventure to go Piranha fishing! The Amazon is flooded at this time of year so you can only see the tops of trees poking out of the water. We went out in a little canoe and into the trees dodging branches and tree trunks in our little boat. We used bits of chicken as bait on our fishing rods which were long wooden sticks, that our guide had chopped off the trees the day before, with a piece of line attached to them. ... fans were drowned out. Every so often the chants of the England fans got through. We were ecstatic when Sturridge scored and we didn’t deserve to lose. I was really impressed and thought it was one of the better performances I have seen from England. Italy were just a little more clinical when it mattered. Despite losing we had a great time and ended up going out for more beers afterwards and ...

... to Misha and the rest of the guests at the lodge. We had now worked up an appetite. Fabiola did not disappoint us- we had onion soup and freshly baked warm bread, steak in a pepper and spring onion sauce with noodles and a delicious coconut flan and home made truffle chocolates with a Brazilian nut in the middle. After the long day we'd had we felt we were allowed to stuff ourselves with this feast. The other guests staying were another British family ...
