El Mensu 38 Puerto Iguazu, Province of Misiones, Litoral, Argentina, N3370, 54-3757-424336
Puerto Iguazu, Litoral, Argentina andrescflorezInitially the bus trip promised to be the most comfortable to date, with super-wide seats, food and drink service, and the fact we had chosen to sit downstairs to avoid being thrown from side to side on the corners. There was even a glorious Chaco sunset to send us off. But soon enough we discovered our run of bad luck with buses was to continue. The air-conditioning was playing up so we were either sweating or freezing. They couldn't get the audio quite right on the movie, either too quiet w...
Puerto Iguazu, Litoral, Argentina cookageI'm just finishing up my last big trip in Argentina. I took another overnight bus from Cordoba to Puerto Iguazu to see the water falls! I don't know if the long bus rides have just really started to get to me or what but this last one seemed awful!! The food was slightly entertaining, however. For dinner I had ham served 5 different ways-a ham and cheese sandwich on a small roll; a triple decker ham and cheese sandwich on really flat, crustless bread (very common here); a cube of ham, a cube...
Puerto Iguazu, Litoral, Argentina courtenayGot to Iguazu a little latr than promised. Got to the hostel and tried to check in but my room wasn´t gonna be ready for a couple of hours so i put the bag in storage and headed out to the falls. Got there just as the train was heading out to the man sites. As i changed train to go to the devil´s throat i bumped into alan from the milhouse, which was a bit random. As we walked along the catwalks to the main viewing point its really surprising how shallow and slow moving the water is as it appr...

Puerto Iguazu, Litoral, Argentina kunimanLas Cataratas de Iguazu are absolutely incredible! We took an overnight bus for about 20 hours both ways and made it a quick weekened trip. I went with 8 other girls, and the trip ended up being a bit crazy but overall it was a lot of fun and definitely "vale la pena" as they say in Argentina (worth the pain!) to see the beautiful waterfalls!

... to 12.45pm, Troy went off to do some more of the trails by himself, as he hadn´t booked our tour, while me and the other three guys went outside to wait for the truck. At 12.45pm we were all inside - it was effectively a big truck with an open-air bench seating area for about forty people in the back. We drove through the jungle for fifteen minutes, while a friendly guide who spoke great English explained all about the trees and plants and animals that inhabit it. This was quite ...
Puerto Iguazu, Argentina alastair6... world's largest Hydro Electricity Plant, Itapu. A joint project between Brazil and Paraguay, the scale of this engineering marvel is extraordinary. We toured both the outside and inside of the plant, which is one of the 7 greatest engineering projects ever to be undertaken in the history of the world.

From a lawyers´ and accountants´ perspective, we thought it was all very impressive!
Foz de Iguacu, State of Parana, Brazil anthonykathryn... ran towards the exit with them all following me! Just as I reached the door one got there first pacing back and forth to not let me out but I’d learnt something from my Korfball day’s and managed to dodge past him and to safety. Steve on the other hand had remained where he was in fits of giggles entirely unscathed! Luckily I survived the incident with nothing more than a bad scratch on my foot but it was touch and go for a while and I didn ...
Iguazu Falls, Argentina samsonite32... the bus station and I ordered a hot chocolate and a toastie en espanol - I was very happy with myself! We took a 10 week Spanish lesson before we left and looks like it had paid off already! Prices seem to be way cheaper here than brazil. I think my breakie cost me 3 euro!! Met a guy called Dan from UK who was going to our hostel so got the local bus out with him. This hostel is meant to be one of the best in the country and we can see why. The common ...
