    ... so sat down and ordered. Served very quickly, Food was great and had lovely bottle of local red (tempranillo) and were quite satisfied even though we had been ostrasized from the outside world. Another couple were shown in just as we were leaving. Walked back through main restaurant and it was packed! Decided we weren' t too smelly ( we had showered) or wrongly dressed - we just hadn't booked and were too early! It was only 9 pm!

    Pardon the gap.Its two weeks since starting the walk and it has been A mixture of what what I was expecting , a good deal of the unexpected, at times disconcerting but mostly pleasant surprises.

    After picking up our car ( a little Holden Astra manual) which gave us a few stressful moments in the middle of Madrid because it has the new cut out on the engine when you come to a stop!!
