... countryside with little villages doted among the green hills and paddocks. The time went very quick as there was so much to see. We arrived and it truely took our breath away. It was a gorgeous little village and our hotel was in the main square. You will see from the photos that it has a true village feel. ... debauchery, murder or witchcraft associated with it. We spent our first night exploring the little town and viewing the many monuments (castles, town squares and cathedrals). We had dinner in a traditional restaurant with a roaring fire and a cave-like appearance. We enjoyed the garlic soup and local beers. I plan on adding garlic soup to my wintertime recipe rotation when we get home.

We went on last and they have a hook on the side of the chair. A lot of people were hanging bags on them. This is where our bikes had to go! There are two marks on the ground. First is where everyone was getting on but for us we had to walk further back to a cross on the ground and get on there, then they put the bike on at the original point, with one man slowing down the chair, the other loading! Easy.

Cesky Krumlov took me several hours and 6 different trains to reach (I possibly should have done some more research) but when the taxi came down the hill from the train station turning around the corner and the castle appeared, every moment of the 7 plus hours was instantly worth it. Along the way the scenery itself was amazing, filled with rolling hills, perfectly squared off farm land and forests so dense with trees that you couldn't see much further than a few metres into them.
